Results

As a final result, the project will develop the following prototypes:

  • A new architecture of the socio-sanitary assistance services for aged chronic patients suffering from cardiac diseases, that will take into account a data base on the specificities of the single European countries (starting from those directly involved in the project), emerging international standards (HL7-RIM and CEN 13606) and EU indications and regulations for the socio-sanitary field.
  • A software system for the collection, transmission and recording of Medical Information (such as pathophysiological from healthcare instruments relevant to CHF patients) developed taking into account the European standards.
  • A monitor based on “Expert System” solutions that basing on clinical data on the patient and updated with available ”medical information” will serve to immediately visualize the level of criticality of the situation, alerting the health care providers for critical situations.
  • A comfortable and easy to use system (e.g. wrist watch or other similar devices) implementing main pathophysiological signals acquisition, able to provide data for tele-diagnosis to a centralised system.
